Year of Youth 2010-2011

In 1985 the then Pope John Paul II announced the first year of youth. It was from then the youth commissions in Tamil Nadu began to work in a renewed way and began to build up youth federation under one banner called “Tamilnadu Catholic Youth Movement”. Now, 25 years have passed and the Tamilnadu Catholic Bishops Conference has accepted to celebrate the Jubilee year and have announced the Year of Youth from 11 June 2010 to 10 June 2011. It becomes the concern of the youth commission to reach every village and to build youth groups and to train them. To accomplish this mission of reaching the youth we need the help of at least five full time animators.
